During the warmer seasons I like to have some type of color in my hair so I had previously lightened the front of my hair with a different hair coloring system and it left my hair feeling like every other dye, waxy and frizzy. I decided that I didn't want to use a regular permanent dye again on my hair even if I go to the salon. Well I went to the salon and they had an ammonia free dye but they quoted me $150 for the dye job and y'all know I'm broke so I didn't schedule that appointment but luckily for me I found out that same day that Shea Moisture came out with hair dyes so I was like yesssss and I bought it. I wanted to get the best color outcome I could so I washed my hair with shampoo to strip everything i had on my hair off then i waited 24 hours (yes I looked rough for a day). This color comes in a beautiful package first off and it has the option of applying it with a bottle or with a brush, I felt like a hair dresser and this wasn't my first dye job so I chose the brush. NOW IF YOU HAVE VERY TIGHTLY CURLED/COILED HAIR THAT SOAKS UP PRODUCT YOU WILL NEED TWO BOXES OF DYE! MY ROOMMATE DYED HER HAIR WITH JUST ONE BOX AND SHE GOT FULL COVERAGE AND HER CURLS ARE LOOSER THAN MINE AND HER HAIR IS ALMOST ARMPIT LENGTH. I started to run out of dye when I got to my last portion of my hair and I wasn't able to go back and do my roots (when you are dying your hair at home do the middle and end of your hair strands first then go back and do the roots bc your roots take the fastest to color bc its fresh hair). The shampoo, conditioner, and oil that come with the dye are by Shea Moisture's repair line and they are awesome. My hair felt so soft after I
was finished and the color was popping honey! It lasted for a good
amount of time until I decided to change my hair color again. I would so
recommend this product to any natural looking for a hair change on a
budget!

Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioner
Ok so a lot of naturals love
this product and its all I heard about when I first started researching
natural hair products so of course i was super excited when someone gave
me a jar (I live for free things) I tried it as soon as I could. My
hair gets dry very easily and I knew a good leave in conditioner could
help out with that and i was hoping this was it. I put it on my hair
after washing and immediately I saw little white spots all over my hair.
My hair didn't absorb it at all. I stil was trying to give it a chance
hoping that it would dry clear like some products. I put a little Shea
moisture for hold and sealed my hair and did my usual braid out. The
next morning I took the braids out and the white residue was still there
and it was way worse and on top of that my hair felt like a used
brillow pad. I was running late for work so I had no time to wash it out
so I went the whole day touching my hair and making weird faces. As
soon as I got home I washed it out and its been sitting in my cabinet
ever since (I hate throwing almost full products away).
Was this product a epic fail for you too or is it a staple in your hair care routine?

Eden body works product review
I recently went to a natural hair expo hosted by return of
the curls (shout out to them for bringing it to my city) and my product
junky syndrome started to act up and one of the many things that I
bought were Eden body works curl defining creme and their jojoba moni
oil (with products only being $6 a pop it was hard not to buy the whole
table).
Curl Defining Creme: First off I asked the sales rep what was the difference between this and the pudding souffle and she said that the souflee is FOR WAVY HAIR and the creme is FOR CURLY HAIR.
I first used this on DRY HAIR (i got lazy after i washed my hair and
went to sleep) I did a braid out and it came out amazing. The product
smells great and isn't heavy at all and a little bit goes the long way.
It gives very good hold and makes my hair feel moisturized which is very
hard to do. I tried it again on damp hair with another braid out and
the results were even better. Its one of my new favorite products!
Jojoba monoi oil:
I have been looking for jojoba oil for a while because if you have
watched any youtuber they all love this so I was excited when I saw this
and for $6 because jojoba ain't cheap honey. I love this oil. I use it
to seal moisture and to add some life into my hair and makes my feel
sooooo soft. I is very light and it doesn't smell bad.
Have you tried these products?????
